Hopefully you will find that you have come to the right place. If you were looking for someone in Ireland to share your interest in Guatemala, you probably have.

We are a group of people who have an interest in Guatemala for many different reasons such as being from Guatemala and having moved to Ireland, having adopted a child/children from Guatemala, being from Guatemala and raised by Irish parents, having family and friends from Guatemala, planning to travel in Guatemala and looking for some practical advice.

So what can you expect from the web site and why might you be interested in joining?

We are an organisation with a social focus i.e. we organise parties, exchange ideas and experiences, we try to tell you something about the traditions in Guatemala, the beauty of the country and the people. We facilitate pen-pals, we have links to news from Guatemala, we advise you on where to buy what if you are looking for certain Guatemalans things while in Ireland. We are not a political organisation but as Guatemala is a very poor country with many internal problems we do try to raise funds that can be used to better the life of particularly children in Guatemala.

There is room for everyone who wants to have a good time, if you are an adult from Guatemala why not send us descriptions of your memories of traditions, of places to see and how to travel. If you have travelled in Guatemala and have pictures and text we would also love to hear from you. We have members from all over the country so there is every possibility that you might find a group of people close to you that you can keep a closer contact with between our larger parties.

The organisation is all based on voluntary work so if you have time to spare great, but if you don’t that’s no problem either as long as you are here to have a good time.
